Latest Update: Apr 17, 2015 05:16 PM
Description: This is the base package ONLY. For those who want more selection, install the OPTIONAL DecUI supplement at my WoWInterface page here:
DecUI at WoWInterface

Known issues for version 8.X
*None know at this time.

Description

Welcome to DecUI! This is an edited version of the ElvUI version 7 platform, styled to be a bit more information-rich, with an homage to classic ElvUI/Tukui looks. ALL due credit goes to the community and contributors there for the many ideas, tweaks and fixes to the platform. Without their efforts, this compilation would not exist. /salute

Supports 1680x1050 and up, Multimonitor/Eyefinity/nVidia Surround friendly, easy to install and configure. Users of resolutions smaller than 1680x1050 can use the Low Resolution option within the UI, yet you will need to adjust elements to fit your resolution.

Installation

STEP 1 - Make a backup of your existing UI!

Go to your World of Warcraft folder.
Copy the Interface and WTF folders, and paste them into a new folder of your choice and name. This will be your backup in case you want to go back.
Delete the Interface and WTF folders in the World of Warcraft folder.

STEP 2 - Follow these steps to properly set up DecUI

Extract the folders inside DecUI to your World of Warcraft folder.

STEP 3 - Log in and set up your Video settings

Doing this beforehand will allow you to skip the resolution warning of the UI. Once logged in, you will be prompted to go through the in-game configuration wizard to adjust the appearance. This will happen only once per character, unless you manually reset the UI.

Navigation

Clicking the "L" icon on the bottom-right of the left chat panel unlocks UI elements to be placed manually.

Remember to click the "C" icon at the bottom-left of the right chat panel, or type /dec for the config menu. Entering this will give you access to the in-game config options, that allows you to more easily tweak appearance settings, such as increasing/reducing the amount of action bars, datatext shown, etc.

This version includes numerous changes and additions to the standard version of ElvUI itself as well as a few addons that are listed. The goal was to unify extra functionality with a clean look and layout that would be uniform to all classes. Some addons have been edited to either match the theme that I am aiming for, or simply .TOC updates for the 5.4.8 patch. Updating these will hamper their appearance and/or functionality with DecUI: (aka don't use Curse or any other auto-updater to update the below listed addons)

Can you use the TukUI installer to update the Addons or do you need to update each one by it self.

@Dec You mean we shouldn't use Curse to update addons in the DecUI package when we're simultaneously using the TukUI installer, right?

Version 8.16 for the core and supplemental package has been uploaded, see the Changelog for update info. Apologies on the tardiness, have to sleep sometimes.
TukUI Installer users - The installer will show an error when using it to update, DecUI is still installed to your system

Having issues? Please:

* Do a clean install - a LOT of things have changed with WoW, ElvUI and addons in general. Try starting with a clean slate.

* Make sure you are not using Curse or any other AddOn updater to attempt updating the addons in either package.

* If you are still are having problems, please post as much information as possible about the issue, and include screenshots whenever possible. Doing so helps me to better identify and solve any problems and ensures that the amount of incomplete posts about issues are kept to a minimum.

Thank you.

@halomaster1239 Tanks a lot, that worked!

@Munin You can turn this off under ElvUI Config> Reminders > Select Group(Armors) > Uncheck all the Armor Spells

Hi,

i really really love your UI!

I just got a problem - there is allways an icon in the middle of the screen when a buff, that i can apply to myself, is missing - that's really nice so far... But when i play my Fire Mage, it allways shows that "Molten Armor" is missing - but it is a passive now since 6.0 and now it allways shows and doesn't fade.

Can anyone help me with this, would be super awesome :D

Thanks a lot!

Next version coming within next 48 hours, nailing down a few loose ends as time allows.

I am relatively new to WoW and Addons so please bear with me if this is a stupid question.

Can i have separate settings for Monomyth for each character? Because i have one character where i just grind and one where i want to read all the quest texts and it is kinda a pain to switch it on and off each time i play the other character. Same thing happens with some other addons that you can access via Esc -> Interface -> Addons.

So is there a way that these settings are character exclusive and not account wide?

Thanks
