1. INSTALLING
---------------------------------------------Download link: TukUI - Github
Changelog: Recent ChangesFor a clean install of TukUI, use the link above selecting the highest version that you can. As I write this Version 13.07 is the latest version.
While the Zip-folder is downloading you can move into your World Of Warcraft folder and delete or backup the following folders; Fonts, Interface aswell as WTF. That way you secure yourself from having further problems due to addons counterproducting eachother and creating a lower framerate. After you log in, the game will automaticly recreate these folders for you. When this is done you can unzip the download to: ...\World Of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\
The following folders will now be located there: TukUI, TukUI_Raid and TukUI_Raid_Healing.To finalize the installation you will have to log into World Of Warcraft. When this is done you will be presented a popup that will preconfigure a User Interface when you choose what role you have. The options are [Tank/DPS] or [Healing] these can be changed whenever you want so dont panic if you want to change between these two.
You can move the unitframes around or use the Ingame Configuration Panel to disable or enable further options, but past experience recommends playing with the default setup to get used to the User Interface before changing anything.

2. ACTIONBARS
---------------------------------------------
This is the default layout when all Actionbars are visible, you get one sequence of 2x5, 2x12 before another 2x5, and these in total is what the High-resolution User Interface consist of.

The two sequences of 2x5 buttons can be hidden as you can see above, this is good for lets say professions or buffs. The reason is that the hide/show function is disabled while in combat so if you like your Interface as minimalistic as possible and want to hide these you have to make sure have either hotkeyed all abilities in there or not putting any crucial ones in there at all.

The hiding of buttons also work the other way giving you a nice row of buttons instead of two if this is preferable.

The screenshot above shows us how little you can actually show using TukUI, limiting yourself to only one sequence of 1x12 buttons.
Hiding buttons also work for the bar all the way to the right of the screen where the Hide/Show button is positioned at the top of the row.
For binding keys to your actionbar you can type /bindkey. You will get a popupbox similar to the one above as a signal that you can start hovering your mouse over buttons and assigning buttons or keys to the actionbar.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. PANELS AND NAMEPLATES
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PANELS
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With TukUI you gain power over your own User Interface. As shown in the screenshot under you gain multiple presets where you can show info relevant to your character. Memory load, Attack Power/Spellpower, Hit rating are just a few examples of what you can show. This can be configured and changed via the Ingame Configuration Menu.

The Datatexts by themselves are quite handy, but if you hover or click on them it reveals more information:
-Clock opens your calendar, if you hover on it it reveals current Raid Lockouts aswell as showing next Tolbarad Battle.
-Guild opens your guild tab. Hold shift when hovering your mouse over it for additional info!
-Friends opens you friend tab. Hold shift when hovering your mouse over it for additional info!
-Duration opens you character-screen.
-Gold opens you bags.
The datatext available also changes upon location. The Left position changes to a "Battleground Summary" showing damage or healing done aswell as Honorgain and Kills. To hide the information if you dont think its relevant to you, you can simply Right-click on the panel to hide it.(( WILL ELABORATE FURTHER ))
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NAMEPLATES
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------One of the great features with TukUI nameplates is that you simply get all the information you need from them. Threat aswell as showing proper numbers inside the nameplates are options that are per default off, but this is easily changed in the Ingame Configuration Menu.
With that said there has been reported an issue with not being able to show health- or energypercentages on Target Frames, how to fix this is quickly explained in under "Reported Issues" further down the F.A.Q.

5. MINIMAP, CHAT AND BAGS
---------------------------------------------

If you have wondered what the small squares are that seems to be a small piece of the design of TukUI we can reveal that these are clickable buttons. The one on your left chatframe reveals the normal options for chatchannels aswell as languages. The square on the right Chatframe reveals the keychain giving you a rough idea which keys you should obtain for those oldschool Burning Crusade Heroics.

By right-clicking on cross in your bags you open the optionmenu for the bags instead of closing the entire frame. Sorting and showing bags or keychain within the bagframe is some of the options you can choose from.

The searchfunction within the bags in TukUI are functionable. By rightclicking on the searchbutton within the bags you can start typing what you are looking for in your bags. The selection of items not fitting your query are instantly grayed out as you can see leaving only the correct items fully visible.

The regular chat-options are of course available through right-clicking on a channel name bringing up options like font-size and font-colour as a few of the options.

The minimap has been revamped, though older TukUI users might remember how this works.
Right-click - Tracking of Repairs, trainers, vendors et cetera.
Middle-click - Enables Micromenu which is the regular Red Question Mark in the BlizzardUI.
Left-click - Ping the map.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6. INGAME CONFIGURATION MENU
---------------------------------------------
Download: Is now native in TukUI, rendering download link useless.
The screenshot above is what will meet you if you have installed TukUI Configuration Menu package. When you have done this you can type /tukui and get an easy way of configuring your User Interface to how you want it. The menu us easy to navigate yourself through and also gives you the options of editing the User Interface on a per-character basis or a global basis if you like. The Configuration Menu covers most of what we have gone through in this FAQ such as Datatext, User Interface scaling and Error Message hiding just to mention a few.
Dont panic if you managed to do something wrong, resetting to back to default TukUI is easily done by pressing Reset.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7. REPORTED ISSUES
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I need percentages on Enemybars due to Omnitron Defense System and Conclave Of Wind!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Caliburnus said:
I assume you're talking about displaying the values in the format "current hp | total hp - current hp %".In Tukui\core\functions.lua, look for:
if unit == "player" and health:GetAttribute("normalUnit") ~= "pet" then if C["unitframes"].showtotalhpmp == true then health.value:SetFormattedText("|cff559655%s|r |cffD7BEA5|||r |cff559655%s|r", ShortValue(min), ShortValue(max)) else health.value:SetFormattedText("|cffAF5050%d|r |cffD7BEA5-|r |cff%02x%02x%02x%d%%|r", min, r * 255, g * 255, b * 255, floor(min / max * 100)) end elseif unit == "target" or (unit and unit:find("boss%d")) then if C["unitframes"].showtotalhpmp == true then health.value:SetFormattedText("|cff559655%s|r |cffD7BEA5|||r |cff559655%s|r", ShortValue(min), ShortValue(max)) else health.value:SetFormattedText("|cffAF5050%s|r |cffD7BEA5-|r |cff%02x%02x%02x%d%%|r", ShortValue(min), r * 255, g * 255, b * 255, floor(min / max * 100)) endChange:
health.value:SetFormattedText("|cff559655%s|r |cffD7BEA5|||r |cff559655%s|r", ShortValue(min), ShortValue(max))to:
health.value:SetFormattedText("|cff559655%s|r |cffD7BEA5|||r |cff559655%s|r |cffD7BEA5-|r |cff%02x%02x%02x%d%%|r", ShortValue(min), ShortValue(max), r * 255, g * 255, b * 255, floor(min / max * 100))----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Focus is not working!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to Blizzard breaking the ability to focus via an ingame menu the easiest solution is to make a macro for focus. This is a known issue to all User Interfaces./focus -------- Set the current target as the focus /clearfocus -------- Clear the current focus /target focus -------- Target the focus

10. TROUBLESHOOTING
---------------------------------------------It is not unknown to have troubles with a new User Interface when you first install it, feel free to refer to this guide if you are having problems. If the guide does not cover your problem dont hestitate to ask in this topic or make a thread under the appropriate forum (given you are using an Edit or have questions outside the general TukUI).
Though to make it easier for whoever decides to answer your question you MUST include the following:
1. Which Version of TukUI are you running? You can find this by typing /version in the ingame console.
2. Screenshot, this helps alot if you have problems that can be hard to explain.
3. General description of the problem, do write in either English or your native tongue. Using google-translator is not frowned upon.Posted 2 years ago - #12 -

You might want to include how to buy bank slots.
Answer is here (http://www.tukui.org/forums/topic.php?id=11223) if you're unsure how.

thanks in advance <3Apparantly the chatframes for Elvui are the only ones the fix you are refering to is working for. For regulars you would have to wait for a author to take on the challenge =)
On another note I updated one bit of the FAQ and aim to finally get it presentable within reasonable time.
Posted 2 years ago - #26 -
Can I have your permission that I can translate your FAQ into Chinese to help Chinese Tukui fans edit what they want~ Tukui is also very popular among Chinese wow players.

By all means, its not yet done but feel free to do it as long as link back to this page and give credit where credit is due.
