Ofc I didn't read all comments (it's kinda hard when it's a midnight and I'm too sleepy) but I'll just put my opinion in here.
We can try to increase traffic and community attendance by stopping consulting on local Warcraft fan-sites and just sending everybody here. But I doubt it will help a lot. I don't know if I'm right but it seems that the most part of people I was talking the last year just can't speak English. And it's more disturbing that they are just too lazy to even try even if they can.
Making a language-specific sections in this is also not an option. Most of them will prefer to go to their favorite fan-sites.Now let's talk about something more positive :)
Your work is perfect. I installed TukUI for the fist time at the middle of ICC progression (thanks to the topic in our locale's interface forum). And after that I've never had a thought of returning back to whatever addons I previously used. Then I just moved to ElvUI because I noticed that my own additions to TukUI were similar to those Elv used.
This site (and it's community ofc) taught me many new things. I became interested in lua editing and addon writing, I've learned a lot about how WoW actually works in terms of events and interface. And I respect a lot of people here for their work and knowledge.
Whatever you decide, thanks for making me a better man :)Shadow & Light edit of ElvUI | Mah toons

最后,非常感谢你的Tukui!

The new race is awsome, blizzard get back to the work, after Cataclysm fail.
Now i am not playing on Cataclysm, but i don`t want to leave on MoP realizeI'm on beta since day 1 and in my opinion, it's seriously worst than cataclysm (at the moment, it could change but in my opinion it will not)
Played 1 or 2 hours, didn't connected again except to just log 5 min with Elv last week to test some talents outside Orgrimmar.
The only positive things is that new zones are different than we used to see in previous expansion. This is just zones, peoples will be bored 2 weeks after the release. Same thing which happened with Cata 1 - 60 zones. New Glyph system is fines as well, you NEED to do critical choices between glyph now. Lots of them are interresting. Everything else in my opinion sux and when I say everything else, it's EVERYTHING!
As for my class (Priest, disc), i disagree with what they have done. I don't agree with the mass dispel change costing around 45k mana and will cost a lot more at 90. Great it dispel up to 100, but we (pvp'er) doesn't care about this, we want to dispel quickly ice block, bubble, BoP, etc. Doing 1 single mass dispel in arena will probably put you at risk if you fail to kill the enemy, you'll run out of mana really too quickly. I also didn't like at all that they removed the spell which remove our 4 sec cooldown on bubble. I hate that they removed our immune interrupt spell when we use focus spell. This was one of the greatest implementation in PVP for priest but they already removed it. As for the talents, too much useless and random proc spell. It will be no different than Cataclysm and other expansion, everyone will have the same build for PVP. Too much useless and random proc talents. As for the CC in tier 1, the first 2 CC share a DR with fear, and need to be used in melee range. We already have a fear in melee range, if I'm in melee range, i'll fear, that's it, that's all. Psyfiend is too random, it fear random enemy, which can be a pet instead of the enemy. Void tendrils need to be used in melee range and use same DR with fear. We need CC at ranged distance, like mind control (now know as dominate mind) Tons of others shit I also dislike but I won't go into details, else this topic will result in a 4 - 5 pages read.
As for the monk, I fear that it will be the DK version 2. Remember season 5 everyone?
As for dungeons, they continue to revamp, which for me is a fucking bad idea since the start with onyxia in the end of WOTLK. Naxx at the start was OK in my opinion because less than 1% completed this raid back in Vanilla.
Stoping here, or i'll rage.
I can already tell you there will be a lot of changes to disc still. Namely - reduction on mass dispell mana cost (45k is retarded) and they'll probably add a CD. in fact, I think that was mentioned in a blue post today. I still think they need some work with spirit shield and PW:S, but I think it will all work out well in the long run. I can tell you this all works out because I'm a holy paladin, and I've been through the yo-yo more times than disc can count. In the end, Blizzard figures out a way to make it work, at least somewhat (sans Rogues this season, DK Season 5, etc...).

Sorry I've been kinda MIA lately. I however am planning on continuing my support here, ALOT so over the summer coming up. I can't say enough how grateful I am to this community and to this UI. I am not exaggerating at all when I say that finding this group and working with it has changed my life. I am currently perusing a major in Computer Science and Interactive Media with a focus on User Interface Design, because it is my passion. I would not be where I am now without the experience I've gotten here. I hope that in the coming months I can help give back to this amazing community more, and that future Tukui members will have as rewarding of a experience as I've had.
Enough about me though. TUK, don't leave us. We love you and your work.

Reading this makes me a really really sad panda. I started using TukUI a couple years ago and went over to Elvui a bit over a year ago, and I've been so happy with both of them. I've been using addons since I started playing 7 years ago, and made countless UI compilations myself, but never really found "the perfect UI" until I found ElvUI.
I've been making ElvUI setup guides on my guild's forums and got a ton of people to try it (some successful, some unsuccessful) and am currently writing a guide for it on my website on how to set up things and how to make things suit your own needs be it useful things or just pretty things, hence i stumbled over this sad post ;'(.
I can't really imagine raiding without my pixel perfect lovely ElvUI anymore (the UI on beta's been giving me nightmares). Your work is very much appreciated and loved!

Hi there Tuk.
It is sad to see this is happening to one of the best UI's going for WoW!
I've been playing WoW since very very early Pre-tbc (After alpha WoW) and I stumbled upon Tukui early TBC. Prior to stumbling onto Tukui, I was using various compilation UI's and UI's created by other people that was for 'Warriors' but these addons used up so much mem that it was almost impossible to play :/However now that ive found Tukui! I can't imagine playing WoW without it :(
Even playing on the PTR servers, ive used Tukui - despite the newer patch etc, it works flawlessly.Heres an image of my WoW using Tukui:
http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/3689/wowscrnshot041512093031.jpgThe UI is so easy to use- even when you create a new character on a new realm etc. Its just a very simply setup, no editing WTF folders or loading profiles etc. Just a few things and bam.
Kudos to you Tuk,
I hope you carry on on MOP.
If you want, I can beta test your new Tukui and give you feedback and errors etc since im in the MoP beta.Posted 1 year ago - #248 -
I just started using Elvui a little after 3.0 was finished and absolutely loved it. I really hope you guys decide to continue development, but I definitely understand not developing for a game you don't find fun anymore.
Hope to see you guys in mists :)

Hi guys,
the design and functionnality of Elvui are absolutly awesome. I spent many hours optimizing my interface and I continue to do optimizations to my friends UI.When I discovered ElvUI, It was like a punch in the face !!! I have replaced some huge addons like Vuhdo, Satrina Buff Frame and IceHud in favor or your UI suite. Again, it's absolutly amazing !!!
Right now I am using Elvui and POWA to make the most thing in my interface and I would be really sad to see Elvui dying. Even if the community is almost dead on the forums of this site, most of the people are getting it from curse and curse client.
If you take a look on curse, you have 1.5 Million downloads since January 2011 and over 115 000 monthly downloads. I just don't know why you think your addon isn't used by the community because it is. The fact that you don't play the game anymore and that most people don't make donations is probably the kind of thing that kills your will to update it. We have to respect this as fellow users of your awesome addon.
Again, I really hope to get a new version for MOP because it really optimize everything !!! A really big Thanks to the coders !!!

Just downloaded latest version saying you won't be using curse anymore, so I guess that's the end for ElvUI for me... Will have to install bagOn, tidy plates and iceUI maybe. So good luck with your addon.

@percier
Perhaps it isn't my business, but I feel that I have to ask: Why would Elv not using curse anymore affect you using ElvUI? Couldn't you just manually install it like most people?
@Elv
Do you plan to start using Github again?

We have a blog post coming soon that will explain everything.

The least you could have done was make it a one time notification. I don't need to be reminded every time I switch to an alt.
Posted 1 year ago - #255 -
You can downgrade back to the previous version. This notification was the only change anyway.

I will completely understand should you guys decide to pull the plug on the development on, what is in my humble oppinion, THE GREATEST ADDON WOW HAVE SEEN! :-D..
I will still be playing beyond MoP and hope that ElvUI is around for as long as I am (if not longer) :-) Fantastic addon, have been using so many addons before, switched UIs almost weekly until I stumbled acress ElvUI and instantly fell in love! ;-) I hope you'll keep the addon(s) alive and continue to update and develop on them. But know this, that your work effort regardless of your future decisions have been much appreciated and I wish you all the best with any new endeavours even if it doesn't include ElvUI 5.x!
Cheers,

I didn't wanted to sound ungratefull or anything, I do value this addon. Most usefull one i had after DBM. And it's packed with more than I need. At start I used it's classtimers, but not anymore since using power auras, and prefer bartender just because i was using it before and with each patch everything stays in place with no need to setup again. I was using X-perl and since i tried ElvUI I never looked back. Awsome work indeed. I can have diferent layouts on each spec without having to select it manualy, and have 2 base layots common to all chars. But I really don't understand why are u taking it from curse. It's so easy to just use curse client to check for updates for all addons... What if other addons follow your steps? And I did came to the site to leave my comment because I will miss ElvUI.
