This thread will be a complete rip-off of the similar threads you see on Elitist Jerks.

As such this thread is for questions which:

    • 1) Requires a short simple answer.
    • 2) Are not already answered in another thread.
    • 3) Are unlikely to spark sufficient discussion to warrent its own thread.

Please do not post here unless you're either asking or answering a question. Replying to say "thanks" is encouraged in other threads but posts like that in this thread will be deleted in order to keep the thread clean.
When answering a question please make sure you quote the person asking the question.

The most frequent questions / answers will be compiled for later use as an extensive FAQ.

A question which get's asked a lot right now is:
"How do I get my Player / Target frame to show all buffs / debuffs?".
This video will guide you through the steps for the target frame

Another video to show you how to change color of the spells appearing on your Aura Bars:

    I need a translation

    Edit: Google translate

hello all voilas ca do more than one month that I use elvui and I have a little question how to remove the buff bar on my target and not the icon thank you to you

If I understood you right, you're asking about ClassTimers. Go to the ingame config (/ec) and click "ClassTimers". Now untick "Enable" and reload your UI.

Either keep your bars locked and use the shift modifier and drag spells to move, OR disable "cast action keybinds on key down".

You cannot. There is no such feature in ElvUI currently. If you wish, you can create a ticket suggesting it be added in the future.

In the default ui, you hover over the buff/debuff icons to view their tooltips. Is there a way to enable the buff/debuff tooltips in the ElvUI classtimer?

P.S., I apologize if there is an obvious way to enable this, or if this question has been asked and answered already, and I just missed it. Before posting, I did look in the classtimer configuration menu and did a search here on forums for "classtimer and tooltips" and didn't find the answer.

This functionality isn't included in ClassTimers

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it.

You can disable it through the ingame config.

Disable auto scale in ElvUI ingame config. Then set your desired UI scale in the blizzard interface options.

Thank you very much for the advice. I have the config set of ELVs should not be automatically UI scale but even to me after a few returns on of the game all the more UI scale and I do not know where I could still edit. I know the easiest would be to buy a new monitor but unfortunately most are now for money.

Please create a new thread in the Technical Support forum and explain in detail what your issue is. Feel free to post in your native language and then ask someone to translate it for the rest of us.

Setting focus target is flawed by design (by Blizzard). Only the Blizzard unitframes are able to set focus through the right click menu. Use the various other ways to do it (/focus, keybind etc)

You set ui scale in the blizzard options: ESC -> Options -> Advanced -> UI Scale

I have actually been meaning to create an extensive usage guide for ElvUI, but since it will be a ton of work to cover everything I've had to put it on the back burner for a while. In the meantime you can check out L2R's UI Workshop: ElvUI

Hm. If you are talking about this

then it's calld ClassTimer and it has own option line into the ElvUI config. There you can disable it if you like. But movement options are not very customizable.

If you mean just buff icons with timers then you need to go to config - Unitframes - Player and choose Buffs from the dropdown menu there to see it's options.

You are able to parent the anchor to a few other specific anchors in the ingame config. You are not able to move them freely and we cannot say if this will change. You are free to create a ticket with the suggestion here.

It's been a while since I've played WoW. Tried doing a search but nothing came up under 'unlock config menu'. So, can the /ec menu be moved elsewhere?
