Hello,
I've just installed ElvUI this morning, ran through the setup proces which was nice and straight forward. When attempting to identify my action bars, bar 4 dissappeared. At first I though I'd accidentally disabled it, but the option was on to show it. I re-ran the install process which recovered it, but like a lemming to a cliff, I repeated my actions and it cleared again.
I went into the section to move the anchors around and this is what I found:
The bar is blacked out and nothing I can do (appart from re-run the install) seems to bring it back. I searched here to see if anyone else has experienced this, but I couldnt find anything.
Any suggestions?

You mean it disappears when you lock the anchors?
If so, please post a screenshot showing that, together with settings for bar4.

Actually it was more a case of it vanished after I disabled and re-enabled the action bar. The settings havent changed for the bar (I even tried resetting it incase I had inadvertantly clicked something stupid like mouse-over)
Here's a step by step of the problem in action (no pun intended)
Before making any change:
Removing the tick to disable the bar
Replacing the tick to enable the bar, but no bar returns
As you can see I change nothing in the settings, I litterally was just trying to work out which bar was which. I know (now) that I could have just played with the Toggle Anchor settings to see this info, but hindsights' always 20/20 but this shouldn't happen... should it?

I cannot reproduce this, please try with only ElvUI loaded.
If that doesn't help, check if Restore Bar does anything.
Make sure lua errors are enabled and see if you get any.

I did try clicking Restore bar, but it didnt do anything visable. I will try disabling my other add-ons and enabling the errors. Thanks again.

bit bizarre. Disabled everything else, logged in, Bar 4 visable. Did the disable/enable thang, and no show. logged out and straight back in again, bar returns.... I even tried moving the bar to the middle of the screen and the same thing happend, when I disabled and re-enabled the bar. Only happens on Bar 4.
I'm not getting any LUA errors when doing any of this.

Unable to reproduce with only ElvUI loaded.
Did you truly disable everything else except ElvUI? Stuff starting with "ElvUI_" is *not* part of ElvUI. They are 3rd party plugins.

Morning,
I can state, hand on heart, that every single one of my add-ons were disabled.
If its causing this much grief, then dont worry about it. I kind of hoped it was either a known thing, or easily fixed (which it kind of is by logging out and back in again) I do wonder now if its something to do with the buttons that are on the bar, extreme I know, but I work in a world of stupid things happening to stupid people ;)

I tried with a hunter aswell but I am still unable to reproduce.
Try to move or rename your WTF folder and then log back in and test. This will reset all WoW settings along with addon settings.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that didnt work either.
To be honest, it's not *that* big of a issue. As I said in my last post (or the last but one) this isnt a deal breaker for me. I know that for you (as developers/programmers/hobbyists) its probably more annoying than anything else that you cant reproduce it, in order to fix it.
Lets chalk it up to "one of those things" and leave it at that. Its the only bar it does it on, I've not tried it on my other characters yet, so it could be a quirk of my rogue (seem to recall having paging issues on my Druid, going from Elf, to cat, to stealth and none of the stealth abilities appearing way back when, but he's not feral any more so nbd)
Love the inteface, will be using it on all my characters. Thanks for the assistance with this. Have fun :)

Hey,
i had the same problem but i figured it out. I think it has something to do with the new update because it didn't happen before.
I just had ElvUI enabled and disabled the bar 4. After reloading i couldn't re-enable the bar.
To fix it you have to click enable and reload again.Bar 4 enabled but it is not under the minimap
after reloading the bar is back

Still unable to reproduce it. Unless you provide us a way to reproduce it 100% we can't really do anything about it.
