    Hi folks -

First of all, I searched for this answer first, but I'm stumped. I'm a first time user, and I did a clean install of t12 using the Mac install tool. Here's what happened.

When I logged in, I disabled all other addons except the 4 tukui ones (tukui, config, heal, raid), and loaded up. In-game, I could tell some changes had been made (combat text was in a non-standard font), but none of the other ui features were there (i.e. still had blizzard frames, map, action bars, cast bars, etc.). I checked interface options, and the addon tab wasn't even shown, and /tk or /tukui did nothing.

I quit the game, deleted Interface, Cache, and WTF folders, and loaded WoW without any addons to get the default folders created again. I didn't make any changes in-game. Quit again. Reinstalled Tukui again from the installer, and loaded it again. Made sure the Tukui addons were turned on.

Same thing happened. I tried running the lua errors, but it was like 600 pages long, so I didn't copy.

Any ideas? I'd love to try this ui, but I feel like I'm spinning my wheels.

    Thanks!

Try to compare your folder structure to that of the default Tukui. Maybe the Mac install tool messed something up and the files are not in their correct place.

Did I understand you right that you installed Tukui with the new Tukui Installer for Mac? If this is the case try downloading all the files via Github and don't use the Installer (doesn't work on my Mac either).
Here's the link for Tukui: Tukui Download at Github
And here (important if you're a newcomer) the ingame config-tool: Ingame Config for Tukui Download
Follow the installation instructions here: Tukui FAQ V12

    Hope this helps ...

    Cheers

    [Damn! I'm too slow!]

    Hey Polygamer.

I would manually install to start with and then use the mac update tool when you need to.

Back up your entire Interface + WTF folder somewhere safe, download the latest TukUI version, place the folders (e.g TukUI_Raid_Layout) into /WoW/Interface/Addons

It should then work fine. Let us know how you get on. I run on an iMac too so am happy to help you try and figure this out!

If the manual install turns out to be fine there might be a problem with the installer tool I just released.
If so please tell me so I can locate and fix the issue in the installer.

Just a few remarks for the installer:
    - runs currently only on OSX 10.6+
    - make sure you check the preferences / settings of the installer to see if the WOW install path is set correctly

    The manual install worked perfectly.

i double-checked the installer, and everything looked ok (i.e. the files installed into the correct directory) Note that I did have to change the default path in the installer to my directory, not sure if that screwed anything up. I'm running 10.6.4.

Thanks for all the help. I'll give it a shot tonight on an alt (not sure converting my mains outright will give me anything but a headache - I'm a creature of habit.)

    :)

Thanks for the info. If you have the possibility please check the version 1.0.2 I just uploaded here: https://github.com/hiro42/TukLoadX/downloads
This version will write a logfile into your user home directory called tukloadx.log when using the installer. Would be nice if you can get me the log once you used the tool again.

    Edit_
Solved. I found and fixed the issue with the uploaded version 1.0.3 of the updater. Problem was if a complete fresh installation was done the config.lua was not copyed over from the Tukui zip file.

No need for your log file anymore ;)
