Since there was some interest in the skinning and textures I was fooling around with I thought I'd start a topic solely for it. I'll be posting various pics and download links to the textures for use in your UI's. All of these textures are free to use or do whatever you want with; I make them out of a love for pixel perfect UI's and an excess of free time :P Here are a few pictures:
AH Frame (a photoshop mockup using some of the textures):

Aura Textures (for slice and dice and riptide or something was the idea; hope to have more of these done eventually)

Icons:

I have a download available now that contains a large number of these textures in .PSD form for those of you with Photoshop. Note that you CANNOT use these in game; they are available for addon authors and such who would like to use them in their projects. TGA's will be available soon, which ARE able to be used in game, but again they are mostly for addon authors as you will have to know some .lua to make use of them.
I'm taking requests for sigs, avatars, icons, textures, whatever; Let me know what you'd like done and I'll see what I can do. Currently the queue is:

Looks amazing. Are you modifying the BLPs in the Interface folder (I have a little experience with this)? Or, are you skinning the, specifically the AH, through lua?

Still have to figure out whether or not some of the little ones are going to be pixel perfect just by replacing .BLP's, because in order to fit in the shadow that's around each of them in a lot of cases they'll end up being larger than the default blizzard ones. More than likely though I'll do things that way for now, because atm I don't care to take the time to learn lua well enough to reskin the frames. Just making the textures is gonna take enough time. Maybe someday I'll get around to it, but I've had these sitting on my comp forever and I thought at the very least some people might enjoy using them, or some coder might take it upon himself to reskin frames with my textures :P

.psd's of some of the icons are available. Also updated the main post with a screenshot of some aura textures I've been working on; one for slice and dice and one for blood or water abilities like riptide or something :P Let me know what you think.

The pixel icons are too "Runescape" for my taste, but otherwise lovely work.
Just to clarify are we allowed to use these? You don't actually mention if you're releasing them for use, or if the download is for learning purposes, etc.

You do sorta have a point; I def don't have the skills to come up with icons as good as blizz's are. I really wish they made any that they could with transparencies so that they'd look good in a format other than just square, but c'est la vie. Prob would take up more space that way. If you have any ideas or suggestions for other designs that you think would fit in better with tukui let me know, and I'll try to come up with something.
Anywho will keep working on the unit frame textures; the uninterruptible cast bar is being very stubborn atm; I tried to tile it and it's ONE pixel off from tiling perfectly >.< prob gonna have to redo it lol, oh well. All the other unit frame textures should be done by the end of the week too.
And yep, they're all free to use. Just something I waste a lot of time doing for fun :P

Used one of your icons, and I love it! Will probably be using the mail icon aswell and maybe some others depending on what you make. :)

For some reason Photoshop doesn't allow me to save these as .tga. Me being dumb as shit regarding these things have no idea why, anyone? :P

Updated the download link with a bunch more .PSD's of the UI components. Also working on cleaning up the .PSD files so it's easier to see what I did lol, all the layers have like 15 layer effects on them that are inactive. Pic will follow soon.
