ElvUI_Black_and_White adds tag [bwthreattapped] which can be used on enemy NPC nameplates to give text-encoded information regarding threat and unit tapped status. Contrary to long-established Human Interface Design Guidelines, Blizzard encodes this information solely in colors. This extension of ElvUI gives a text option.
No threat is shown a blanks.
Lower threat, not gaining threat is shown as '--'. This is also what is shown for range-pulls of units.
Lower threat, gaining threat is shown as '-+'.
Primary threat, but losing threat is shown as '+-'.
Primary threat, holding threat is shown as '++'.
When a player has a pet UI up (Hunters and Warlocks primarily) threat is also provided for the pet and additional characters appear in the text to differentiate between the two.
S:(--) P:(++) means self has lower threat, not gaining threat while your pet has primary threat and is holding it, for instance.
The threat string (or an empty string) is bracketed with "< < " and " > >" when the unit is tapped by a player of the opposing faction.
< < -- > > means that you do not have a pet UI and you are on the unit's threat table, but lower threat, not gaining threat and the unit is tapped by a player of the opposing faction.
<< S:(++) P:(--) >> means that you have primary threat on the unit, your pet has lower threat, not gaining threat, and the unit has been tapped by a player of the opposing faction.
When you do not have threat (and your pet, if you have one, has no threat) the NPC, there is no displayed text.
Added tag [kwkotmoguorb] so that the colorblind can see which orb a given PLAYER is carrying.
If you use BGE Spec and Class Text, it is recommended that you put [kwkotmoguorb] on the NAME portion of the ENEMY and FRIENDLY PLAYER nameplates - but it'll work anywhere that accepts custom text.
9.1.0.1 - Initial Release
9.1.0.2 - Added tag [kwkotmoguorb] which can be placed in any PLAYER nameplate to give a text string of which orb (if any) that PLAYER is carrying.
