Im having the same problem, sometimes all opponent's abilities are black, sometimes only one or two.

I would like to request Rematch https://wow.curseforge.com/projects/rematch too, must have addon for pet battles imho
The owner of rematch also made a elvui skin for it, and is asking for someone who would take over that skin.

I think addonskins will no longer support new updates of weakauras.

Thats not ElvUI, thats the addon World Quest Tracker.
You should report it to the addon developer.
