I just upadate this add and my interface got reset. I spend hours to configure it and everything i've done just gone. I save my interface so I import it, but font, positonment etc.. is gone. Just fckin boriing to waste my time to do a perfect things to myself and get iit reset. Fckin trash add
Addons are stored in the addons folder. All settings for addons are in the WTF folder. A completely separate folder.
Updating addons does not touch the WTF folder. Either manually or through the client.
If your settings are lost, something has gone one your end. Either you didn’t shut down wow properly, ALT F4, game crash, computer crash can all wipe settings. Or something within the computer.
If you are worried about losing settings, back up your WTF folder regularly and or export your ElvUI profiles. But that is up to you. And if you haven’t done that and your settings are lost, that is on you, not any addon.
It’s your responsibility to keep a back up. Not just blame someone or an addon if settings are lost.
