I did exactly as said even before the thread - it does not work - screenshots attached.

1. Filter setup

2. Without filter

3. With filter

Have you set this filter as a "Whitlist"?. Just tested it and works perfect! I only added spellID 95809 as spell for testing, but yeah, works fine tho. Also make sure the max duration is set to 0.
Now it worked.

I think I'll roll with 10.59 until you make this more out of the box friendly. Creating 5 custom filters by try and error is a painful procedure for something that was standard before.

Cheers!
Thanks for posting, I had the exact same issue. Finally resolved following the responses of your question, it was a custom filter, set as whitelist, and delete all other filters. Shard of Exodar is a pain in the butt w/o this.

I need to be able to whitelist all the exhaustion type debuffs on party frame, or at least target frame. I have tried whitelisting it so I can see it, and i've tried removing it from the blacklist, and I still can't see it.
Please upload a screenshot of your target frame debuff settings, as well as your party frame debuff settings.
Nvm I followed a previous poster's posts having the same issue earlier and resolved this. Using the Shard of Exodar I needed to see when others still had exhaustion. No amount of white/black list editing was getting it. Creating a custom filter, setting it to white list for debuffs on target frame worked. Thanks for the fast response.

Hi I'm trying to get physical debuffs like stuns and bleeds to display as an icon in party frames. things like fenryr bleed and stacks in HoV or first boss EoA bleed, as well as some mobs do physical stun and they don't display as icon in party frames. I can see other magical/curse/poison/disease debuffs but for some reason physical ones dont show.

If you only want to add those specific debuffs then you will need to add their spell IDs to a custom whitelist filter that you create in the Filters section of the config.
If you instead just want to see any debuff from mobs on party frames (and nothing else), then you can use this priority:

Code: Select all

Blacklist | Boss | CastByNPC
If you don't want debuffs without a duration then you can add "blockNoDuration" filter between "Blacklist" and "Boss".

I hope this helps. If not then please post again and explain in more detail what type of auras you want to see.

Hi, I have a problem setting up the raid debuffs on my focus and player frame. The debuffs "Strength of the Sea" and "Strength of the Sky" are part of the default RaidDebuffs filter from ElvUI but I don't want them to show up. First I wanted to delete them from the list but I have been told in the disctord channel that I cannot delete debuffs from default lists. They told me to disable the checkbox but that didn't work either.

Here you can see the unwanted debuffs on the player and focus unit frames:

Here are the debuff settings for player and focus frame:

And here is one of the two debuffs in the filter settings:

The easiest way to get rid of them is to blacklist them.

If you don't want to see the debuffs on any frame then you can simply add them to the filter called "Blacklist" which is used by all filter priorities by default.

If you only want to hide those debuffs on the player and focus frame then create a custom blacklist filter in the Filters section (after creating a new filter, change its type to "Blacklist"). Then add the spell IDs for those 2 debuffs to the filter, and finally add your new custom filter to your filter priorities and place it either before or right after the filter called "Blacklist".

I hope that helps, if not then please post again.

[ElvUI] Help Me Configure My Aura Filters!

Hello,

I am having a lot of trouble with my nameplate aura filtering, I am trying to blacklist spells such as Open Wounds listed in the screenshot but I can never get it to work. I have posted screenshots of the relevant settings pages below.

https://imgur.com/a/UldLHMv

For Boomkin all I want to see on the nameplate would be Moonfire, Sunfire and Stellar Empowerment. For Feral it would be Rip, Rake, Thrash, Moonfire. I've tried making custom filters adding only those spells, I've tried blacklisting spells and I've tried whitelisting those spells and nothing seems to work. I either end up with every debuff showing or none at all.

Many Thanks

In order to only show very specific spells from yourself, then do the following:
1. Create a new custom whitelist filter in the Filters section.
2. Add the spell IDs for the debuffs you want to track (you need to mouse over an aura icon ingame and get the ID from the tooltip).
3. Use the following filter priority:

Code: Select all

blockNonPersonal | YourCustomFilter

Hey,

Thanks for your reply, however it didn't seem to work. Perhaps I have done something incorrectly, but I took the ID from the tooltips of each dot and made the filter as instructed.

Thanks

EDIT: Seems to work by adding the spell IDs to the existing Whitelist filter, however the custom one does not.
