How to Two-pixel borders

#1
First off, I am no LUA program master guru. If there is an easier way of sharing this or making an addon that can just do this I am willing to learn but I have no coding knowledge I just know how to read and mess with stuff until it does things I want.

Make a back-up before you go changing things!!!

First things first download Notepad++. Not my favorite tool for editing LUA but it's beginner friendly
https://notepad-plus-plus.org/

#1 Lets start easier…. Navigate to \ElvUI\Modules\unitframes and edit the unitframe.lua with Notepad++
SpoilerShow
Change Line: 244

Code: Select all

 frame.SPACING = 0
Save and done!

#2 Now to ElvUI\Modules\skins\blizzard edit objectivetracker.lua
SpoilerShow
Line 87 comment out by two – like so

Code: Select all

--bar:CreateBackdrop("Transparent")
Save!!!

#3 ElvUI\Core edit toolkit.lua
SpoilerShow
Line 146

Code: Select all

tile = false, tileSize = 0, edgeSize = 1,
Line 147

Code: Select all

insets = { left = 0, right = 0, top = 0, bottom = 0}
Line 165

Code: Select all

border:SetInside(f, 0, 0)
Line 168

Code: Select all

edgeSize = 1,
Line 169

Code: Select all

insets = { left = 0, right = 0, top = 0, bottom = 0 }
Line 171

Code: Select all

border:SetBackdropBorderColor(0, 0, 0, 0)
Line176

Code: Select all

border:SetOutside(f, -1, -1)
Line 180

Code: Select all

edgeSize = 1,
Line 181

Code: Select all

insets = { left = 0, right = 0, top = 0, bottom = 0 }
Line 250

Code: Select all

edgeFile = LSM:Fetch("border", "ElvUI GlowBorder"), edgeSize = -4,
Line 251

Code: Select all

insets = {left = 1, right = 1, top = 1, bottom = 1}
,
Now the best thing to do to keep this up to date is to keep a back of your files and when ElvUI is updated use the compare plug-in for Notepadd++ and update just these codes.

I have included a copy of these files here https://www.tukui.org/download.php?user ... ackups.zip I will update them when I can but I do not promise I will be able to maintain them.
